My name is Deb, and I recently took early retirement from the NHS after working as a nurse for 26 years.
I have two grown-up children and live in the countryside with my dog and three cats. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, walking, and gardening.
This new career path will, I hope, allow me to work more closely with people, particularly those who are facing challenges in one or more areas of their lives and who would benefit from either short-term or long-term support.
During my nursing career, I witnessed many of the difficulties that life can bring. I am a good listener and enjoy working alongside people to find practical solutions. I am equally happy to carry out tasks on your behalf or support you with tasks that you may be finding difficult.
I believe that getting to know people well helps me to provide a service that is right for your needs. Whether it’s sharing a supportive chat over a cup of tea or helping to clean your cooker, my aim is always to provide compassionate, personalised support.
Whilst I cannot promise to always get everything right, I can promise that I will always do my very best to listen, help, and ensure that you remain in control of the support you receive at all times.
